All inncelly® experimentation chambers are designed to serve as casting mould, as culture & experimentation chamber and sample transfer device for easy and destruction-free back-and-forth transfer of biological cultures between the incubator and the microscope stage. This allows repeated long-term observation of the same culture in an injury- and thus cell stress-free manner.
All inncelly® experimentation chambers use high-quality borosilicat glass cover slips as sample carrier. Inserted into the main chamber, the cover slip seals the bottom holes before molten nutrient medium is poured in. Upon solidification, the biological cultures can be inoculated. The lid ensures aerated yet contamination-free incubation in any environment. With the stamp plate, the sample is easily retrieved and then rapidly transferred onto the microscope stage. Simple reversing of the procedure brings the culture back into incubation until the next time point of observation.
inncelly® products are constructed in a modular design. Each component can easily be customised to address specific functions and experimental requirements. Components can be purchased and replaced individually or bought as kits.
inncelly® chambers are produced by CAD and 3D printing and, hence, easily modified regarding dimensions, material, functionality and fitting to existing equipment. Essentially, the whole versatility of smart, additive manufacturing is available to create unique functional solutions.
inncelly® chambers are made from biopolymers. The material is odor-free, food-safe and FDA approved. inncelly® chambers are in lab use for more than three years now. So far, no evidence suggests that cytotoxic compounds leak into the medium and interferre with normal cell biology.
inncelly® chambers can be cleaned and desinfected with EtOH and dry or wet heat of up to 115°C. Depending on use and intensity of the required cleaning method, each chamber can be reused multiple times before material fatigue starts to show. Steam desinfection can be repeated for up to eight times, with EtOH-cleaning inncelly® chambers can last for more than 20 experiments.
The high-performance thermoplastic biopolymer used for production is made from renewable resources and is thus carbon-neutral. In combination with their reusability, inncelly® chambers make an important contribution to the reduction of petrochemically produced and environmentally harmfull laboratory plastic. One inncelly® chamber can substitute for 20 or more single-use polystyrene Petri dishes.
